What is Zavee?

Zavee is an innovative online social community that combines the best features of local search, loyalty marketing and social networking into an exciting online social shopping experience. Zavee empowers local merchants, rewards loyal shoppers and provides support for causes. Consumers earn rewards every time they make a purchase using a registered credit card at a participating business.

Is Zavee.com a secure website?

Yes. Sensitive information such as your credit/debit card numbers are encrypted using industry standard encryption.

Is there a fee to join the Zavee program?

No, Zavee is FREE for shoppers.

How do I enroll?

Visit our secure enrollment form and provide us with the required information. Then register any credit or debit card and you're ready to start earning rewards.

Can I use a debit card?

Yes. You can register a debit card and use it for any transaction where you sign your name. Zavee does not track purchases where you use your PIN.

Do I need to let the merchant know that I am a member of Zavee?

No, your purchase will be tracked by our system and reported back to the merchant.

What is a fan?

If you like a particular merchant or enjoy another shopper's reviews, you can become a fan and show them your support.

What is a Premium Shopper?

Zavee expects to implement a Premium Shopper program some time in 2010. Premium Shopper status will recognize and reward Zavee shoppers who are active customers of multiple Zavee merchants. Premium Shoppers will be eligible for the Standard Offer as well as the Premium Offer on every purchase from every Zavee merchant they shop with.

Zavee has not defined the specific milestones a shopper must meet to qualify for Premium status, although Zavee shoppers will be required to have a minimum number of transactions with a minimum number of merchants totaling a minimum overall dollar amount within a specified period. However, all shopper transactions prior to the commencement of the Premium Shopper program will be counted toward eligibility. Zavee will announce the complete rules of the Premium Shopper program, including eligibility requirements, early in 2010.

What if one of my favorite merchants is not on your website?

Let them know about Zavee. Then let us know, too. We'll contact the merchant on your behalf.

What does Zavee do with my personal information?

We value your membership and take privacy very seriously. Please take a moment to review our Privacy Policy to see exactly how we protect your personal information.

If you receive a message from another Zavee member that is spammy, abusive or violates our Terms of Service, please email us at security@zavee.com.

How do I remove a friend from my list?

Simply click delete from your list of friends or on your friends' page. Your friend will not be notified that you have removed them from your friend list.

REGISTRATION / LOYALTY PROGRAM

Why do I have to register a credit/debit card?

Your registered cards allow us to keep track of your transactions, making it easier for us to process your rewards. Plus, it's easier than carrying a separate loyalty card.

How do I earn rewards?

Simply make a purchase using a registered credit or debit card and we will automatically add your cash back rewards and Care Shares to your rewards account.

How Do Multiple Offers and the Cap Work?

Merchants may have several rewards active at once and Shoppers may be eligible for some or all of them. Rewards that a shopper qualifies for are added together, starting with the Standard Offer, to determine how much cash back the shopper will receive. However, the total cash back a shopper may receive for any one transaction is limited by the maximum offer amount, or Cap, that the merchant defined as part of their Everyday Offers.

For example, if a merchant had a Standard Offer of 5%, a Premium Offer of 3%, a Birthday Offer of 10% and a Cap of 15%, a shopper who was eligible for all three offers would earn 15% cash back on the transaction, not 18%. The only exception is when a merchant has an special individual offer that exceeds the Cap. So, if a merchant had a First Purchase Offer of 20% and a Cap of 15%, a first-time shopper would earn the full 20% cash back, not 15%. However, the shopper will not receive a reward based on any other offer, including the Standard Offer, for which he or she would otherwise be eligible.

How do I get my cash back rewards?

Your cash back rewards will be paid to you automatically by direct deposit into your bank account, or, if you prefer, via PayPal. If you choose PayPal we will charge you a small handing fee to cover PayPal's additional charges to us.

How often are my cash back rewards paid to me?

Your cash back rewards will be paid to you on a quarterly basis as long as you have a balance of at least $25.00 in your account. The schedule of payments is: rewards earned Jan-Mar will be paid in April; rewards earned Apr-Jun, will be paid in July; rewards earned Jul-Sep, will be paid in October; rewards earned Oct-Dec, will be paid in January.

Do my unpaid cash back rewards get carried over to the next pay period?

Yes, your account will continue to accrue cash back rewards and will be paid on the next payment date if your balance is at least $25.00.

Do my cash back rewards ever expire?

Your unpaid cash back rewards may expire after 24 months without any purchases.

What if I pay the business by cash, check or a gift card/certificate?

Zavee is not able to track the purchases made with cash, checks or gift cards/certificates. Purchases must be made with a registered credit or debit card to earn rewards.

Do I still get a reward if I have a return?

No, your rewards are subject to adjustments for returns.

How do I update my profile information?

Under the Account tab, click the Edit button in the Public Profile and Private Settings sections.

How do I update my email address?

Under the Account tab, in the Public Profile section.

How do I update my credit/debit card information?

Under the Account tab, in the Private Settings section.

How do I cancel my account?

Contact us and we'll take care of it.

Where do I view how much cash back I've earned?

Your account summary is right on your My Zavee home page. Click the link if you want more details.

CAUSES

How do I select a cause for my Care Shares?

Click on the Rewards tab and select one or more causes from the drop down list.

Can I donate my cash back rewards to my selected cause(s)?

At this time Zavee is set up to donate the cash value of your Care Shares but we plan to introduce other donation options in a future release. (You can always send a contribution to a cause yourself.)

When will my cause get paid and how will I be notified?

Zavee makes contributions to causes on the same dates that cash back rewards get paid to shoppers. We will notify you the contributions are made. The cause may also acknowledge the contribution separately.

How do I add my cause to the Zavee program?

Let them know about Zavee. Then let us know. We'll contact the cause on your behalf.

Does my organization qualify?

Yes, as long as it a US organization engaging in legal activities that give back and benefit the community.

REVIEWS

Can I review any merchant on the Zavee website?

You can review any business that you have made a purchase with. Reviews must be submitted within 30 days of the purchase.

When will my review post to the website?

Most reviews will be posted to the site within 24 hours.

Who can see me and my reviews?

Anyone visiting the Zavee website will be able to read your reviews.

Can merchants message me after I review their business?

Yes. However, you can opt out of receiving messages from that merchant.

What if I had a bad experience? Can I write something negative?

Yes. Zavee merchants are looking to improve their overall customer experience and rely on you to report on their progress.

Does Zavee ever remove reviews?

Not very often. But in some cases if a member violates the Terms of Use, we will remove a review.

What Is Zavee?

How can I view other local merchants that are participating in the Zavee program?

Search in the Merchant Directory.

How can I learn more about the Zavee program?

Visit our About Us section for program details. You can pick up helpful tips in our Resources section and keep up to date on all things Zavee by reading our Zavee Thinking blog.

Do I have to change payment card processors in order to join Zavee?

Probably not. Zavee works with the majority of the payment card processing companies.

How do I know which customers are from Zavee?

You might not know at the time of purchase, but complete customer and transaction data is available on the Zavee site.

How much will it cost for my business to be a part of Zavee?

The basic Zavee fee is a percentage of each sale to a Zavee shopper. There are no monthly or minimum fees. You only pay when shoppers make a purchase.

Zavee also offers other services for which we charge a monthly fee. Speak with a Zavee account representative for more information.

Reviews

Do Zavee Shoppers have to purchase something at my business before they can review their experience on the website?

Yes. We want reviews on Zavee to be accurate, timely and fair, so a Shopper must make a purchase at your business and review their experience within 30 days of the purchase.

Will Zavee remove negative reviews from the website?

Not very often. But in some cases if a member violates the Terms of Use, we will remove a review.

Do I have to have reviews appear on my pages?

Yes. Reviews are an important part of the Zavee experience for shoppers, and they are one of the most significant ways in which Zavee helps you market your business.

Marketing

How will I know what the results of Zavee marketing are for my business?

The Zavee site provides tools for evaluating the performance of each Zavee offer and of the program as a whole. Click on the Resources tab to learn more about how to use these tools and read the Zavee Thinking blog for information and ideas about how marketing analytics can help your business.

What if I'm already using other marketing and advertising programs?

Zavee can supplement the efforts you already have in place or operate as a standalone marketing platform. A Zavee account representative would be happy to provide a candid evaluation of your marketing activites and needs.

What if I already have a Web site?

Market it on Zavee. Build your web presence as much as possible by connecting with Zavee shoppers.

How will Zavee help my cause?

When Zavee shoppers make purchases at participating merchants, they earn Care Shares. Zavee convers the Care Shares to cash, which it donates to the cause of that shoppers' choice. Also, causes benefit from increased visibility within the Zavee community. Causes can educate shoppers about their mission and activities and even recruit new members.

How do I add my cause to the Zavee program?

Let them know about Zavee. Then let us know. We'll contact the cause on your behalf.

Does my cause qualify to participate in the program?

Yes, as long as it a U.S. organization engaging in legal activities that gives back and benefits the community.

Will my cause receive details about shoppers who have donated?

Yes, each Cause will receive complete information about who donated and how much was donated.
